Restaurant Gordon Ramsay

68 Royal Hospital Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 4HP, UK – 020 7352 4441

This place is simply amazing and the food... oh...my...god! I didn't know it was possible for food to taste that good. Classy, delicious and not a bad price considering what you actually get. I highly recommend a tasting menu if they have one on

The vain, preening, shouty, toupee-wearing narcissus was not on duty when we visited, but not to worry: the food was excellent. My starter of deep-fried Camembert was delicious and the side order of garlic bread was toasted to perfection. For main I had the deconstructed corn beef hash with market bought greens and yet more garlic bread, the fruit-laced Sangria really bringing out the flavours of the food. For dessert I had the wonderful Jam Rolls Polly with custard (no, I didn’t have any more garlic bread!) followed by coffee (Mellow Birds) and mints. A quick boogy at the bar and we were on our way home. A great experience.

In my option Medlar is good quality ingredients cooked well, but nothing taste or combination wise that will excite the adventurous diner. I feel it’s aimed at the old school rich diner that doesn’t want extravagant flavours, just hearty food done perfectly. I personally like to spend my money in a place that is exciting and provides me with new taste experiences. Feed back - sommelier only made one suggestion when we asked for his advice and went straight to the top of the price range we’d suggested. I expect a couple of suggestions price and style wise and to be asked what I’m eating if they are to make a suitable suggestion. Raw scallop starter was tiny, unnecessarily so Our wine glasses kept being overfilled.

Excellent French food! I had the recommended meal which was venison and quail egg. Definitely top notch with perfect flavor and portion size(try plum ice-cream for desert). Wine selection is superb as well that will fit any budget. Staff was very friendly and patient. Overall an excellent experience!

Bill's Baker Street Restaurant

119-121 Baker St, Marylebone, London W1U 6RY, UK – 020 7486 7701

My husband I had a meal on the 18/12/17. right from the start the staff were friendly and the place had a great buzz . we ordered our meal but I asked for theGordal olives to keep us going till our steaks arrived. They were the best and biggest olives I have ever had . I mentioned it to our waitress Elizabeth. Steak was beautiful as was our deserts. Later in the evening Elizabeth handed me a gift bag and inside there was something wrapped up in tissue paper. It was beautifully done. Once back at our hotel I opened it and too my surprise found a tin of the aforementioned olives . I was so delighted . Never ever have we come across such thoughtfulness. Looking forward to enjoying the olives during the festive period. Next time in London we will definitely be eating at Bill’s. Thank you Elizabeth, we had a great evening .

Lovely atmosphere, we were seated straight away by a welcoming member of the Bill's team. As we came later in the day on a busy Sunday they had run out of a few items but we were informed of this when we got seated. I had a delicious fish pie - it was wonderfully hot so I knew it was cooked fresh, for pudding I had an apple and blackberry crumble which was so tasty. We weren't rushed out of the restaurant when we finished our meal and I'd definitely return.
