Charing Cross Hospital

Fulham Palace Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 8RF, UK – 020 3311 1234

God bless the NHS and its paramedics. I'm especially referring to three who attended me last week after a serious fall in the kitchen: Lydia, Charlotte and Tom. They were cheerful, fully professional and completely focussed during the half hour or so in which they assessed my condition. In the end they felt it prudent to bring me to Charing Cross A&E to be on the safe side. After a thorough examination I was released and except for some bruising I'm fine. As I'm 80 years old, it could have been quite different.

I went to A&E, I actually have been there several times, and they always perform professionally. I have never experienced long ridiculous hours of waiting despite many patients in the waiting room (of course, you need to understand it may take over an hour, so bring books or magazines or phone to kill time), and staffs at the reception are all very helpful and attentive. They understand what I need, and they always make me feel better. Today, I had a doctor (GP) called Simon, and he examined my symptoms very carefully that I could trust his assessment. He kindly wrote down the list of the medicines (difficult names!) on my notebook. This is my little thank you to this hospital for their great service.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

369 Fulham Rd, Chelsea, London SW10 9NH, UK – 020 3315 8000

Excellent customer service. Staff are professional and very helpful. They do care about the patients. I visited emergency once during pregnancy and once after - was interviewed by the same man - he was very helpful, seeing I have little baby with me asked me to wait in separated area not to expose the baby to all the germs in main waiting room. I also gave birth in this hospital and care I received in birthing centre then labour ward, following Simpson unit and postnatal was just the highest standard. I had complications during the labour but they made me feel safe and decreased my suffering to the very minimum. My husband was treated on several occasions in London's best private clinics but C&W was even better. I was very well looked after. Thank you all at C&W.

Yesterday I cut myself badly enough to warrant a trip to A & E. There was a bit of a wait, as it was VERY busy for the day and time (but I was just happy to have an A & E that was open and well run!). However, all staff were friendly, helpful and professional and the waiting room itself was clean, modern, airy and comfortable. The young Dr that helped me was wonderful! He was cheery, confident and very kind. He patched me up and filled me with confidence that things would be fine. Well done him and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital!

Royal Brompton Hospital

Sydney St, Chelsea, London SW3 6NP, UK – 020 7352 8121

I have been admitted twice for surgery at RBH and each time their service is amazing. Both outpatients and inpatient care delivery are of high standards, the staff and consultants were easy to talk to and responsive to my queries and concerns. Now that my heart is fixed, I might take on the joke of my lovely surgeon, Dr. Michael Rigby, to join the London marathon.šŸ¤žšŸ»Thank you so much to all the staff of Royal Brompton Hospital!

Portobello Clinic

12 Raddington Rd, London W10 5TG, UK – 020 8962 0635

David Oā€™Neil - Physiotherapist I was referred to David whilst in London, during late November 2017; for treatment of a very painful shoulder injury which I had previously sustained in Australia whilst doing gym exercises. After three treatment appointments with David, and adhering to his planned rehabilitation program, my injury miraculously healed. I became pain free in three weeks after my first appointment. Now, back in Australia I am still very healthy and can perform gym exercises with complete ease and confidence. I am in my 7th decade of life and have a renewed level of fitness. I therefore recommend David to anyone who needs help with sports injuries. Importantly, David has a friendly manner with an innate way of verbal encouragement. Thanks again David, from a very thankful Aussie. Cheers David Manley

Travel Clinics

Nomad Travel Clinic & Travel Store

11 S Molton St, Mayfair, London W1K 5QP, UK – 01341 555061

I visited the Nomad Travel clinic today for AntimalarialĀ medication. The clinic/store could do with a little smartening up but apart from that it was a positive experience all around. I was advised on the phone of the cost of the medication and the consultation fee with the nurse (Ā£15) but I wasn't told about the medicine charge (Ā£10), hence the 4 star review. The clinic also has a small store with useful travel essentials.

Really could not have been any better - recommend 100%. Super knowledgeable and friendly nurse. Even advised me against an unnecessary vaccination as I was already covered.

The Travelchemist

262 Battersea Park Rd, London SW11 3BP, UK – 020 7223 3868

Really impressed, gave them a call to discuss my travel vaccines - staff are really helpful and offered us a joint appointment to discuss our options at a time suitable for us both. Prices are also competitive - much better than most of the larger London travel clinic prices!

Fabulous local knowledge! I Live in Brixton, short on time, gave the travel chemist a call, they saw me on the same day! We thoroughly went through my travel itinerary together( I was a complex case because I was weaving in and out of Malaria regions) and they seemed more excited about my travels than me! Really nice experience, and very friendly. Thank you!

Jennings Chemist( TheTravelChemist)

262 Battersea Park Rd, London SW11 3BP, UK – 020 7223 3868

Outstanding depth and understanding of Travel inoculations. Travelling solo through South America, these guys went through my itinerary in thorough detail. We highlighted the risks together and found solutions at each step. Highly recommended, especially considering you can walk in and have a good quality chat. No appointment needed.

Awesome! Travelled to South America. Good knowledge of local outbreaks and risks. More importantly, they told me what I DONT necessarily need. Great value for money and relatively speedy.

Balance Oriental Health Centre

33 Old Brompton Rd, Kensington, London SW7 3HZ, UK – 020 7589 2292

I don't know what to say.. it seems that all acupuncture centers in that area try to charge you more than what you ask.. they will sell you expensive chinese herbs or massages..However, I feel better today on my left shoulder, this is a fact. But they told me they don't do both sides of a patient when doing accupuncture. and the doctor puts much less needles than all the other doctors I've been to. My advice: be careful of what you pay and keep track of your sessions if you buy a package. The rest is only a matter of efficiency.

Went there after seeing their poster for laser hair removal. 80% gone so far I would say (after 4 sessions) I still have 2 more and believe it would be gone. Price is really good for Alexandras laser. Take one star off for the room was a bit small.
